UN Peacekeepers

This map and poster were prepared as a practice in Feminist Data Visualization as it applies to data-driven storytelling. 

I was inspired by the work of Catherine D'Ignazio and Lauren F. Klein to apply principles of feminist data visualization to a cartographic project. In this case, I looked at the distribution of United Nations Peacekeepers and where they are stationed to serve around the world. 

This poster was presented at the virtual 2022 Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting via Denver, CO on February 25, 2022. The poster is a visual representation of a book review I wrote on the book Data Feminism by the previously mentioned scholars.
